PACE is offering drone training this year to its members to learn how to operate drones in compliance with laws and PACE policies. We contracted with Drone Complier to provide an intensive 4 day training with 3 days of classroom training and 1 day of flying the drone with a drone professional.
To have liability coverage with PACE the School District/Charter School/ESD/Community College must, at the time of the claim, be using the drone in compliance with applicable local, State and Federal laws. Please contact your agent for specific coverage details.
Upon completion of the training, attendees will be equipped to become their organization’s chief pilot and receive Part 107 certification. The course is valued at $1,500, but PACE members can attend for free.
Attendance is NOT required in order to have coverage through PACE.
PACE was formed in 2006 by the Oregon School Boards Association and Special Districts Association of Oregon to serve the unique insurance needs of Oregon’s community colleges, public school districts, education service districts and charter schools. PACE now insures more than 290 education entities throughout the state.
