PACE Drone FAQ

Drone use on school campuses has raised many questions about potential legal issues and insurance liability. Staff from the Property and Casualty Coverage for Education (PACE) risk pool have developed a guidance document with frequently asked questions and other resources for members.
Among the issues addressed are federal aviation rules, drone use at sporting events, operation by staff and volunteers, and more.
We are phasing out our drone training but have a few seats left in an online training platform to help prepare staff to take their Part 107 exam to become a certified drone pilot. We only allow one seat per member. If you are interested in this opportunity please reach out to [email protected].
Your PACE Risk Management Team has Drone Pilots, and they are available to come out and conduct infrastructure reviews of your insured properties/facilities with our drones upon your request.
